While planning a women's retreat on being Clothed in Strength and Dignity, I thought it would be fun to create a Godly designer label. Since that weekend I would be sharing on how to say yes to the redress God has for us.
Using a large portion of the title from TLC 's popular television show called "Say Yes to the Dress" for those of you that are not familiar with the show, its where brides try on weddings dresses to find the perfect one for their special day. I also wanted to use this comforting verses found in Isaiah 35:3-4
"Energize the limp hands, strengthen the rubbery knees.
Tell fearful souls, "Courage! Take heart! God is here, right here, on his way to put things right And redress all wrongs. He's on his way! He'll save you!"
Based off of the words: Vengeance, Vindication and Victory
I envisioned 2 V's in a circle of Victory which was looking alot like The Volkswagen's symbol and Wonder Woman rolled into one.
Along with this I wanted these verses to be part of the design.
Vengeance
Romans 12:19 Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God's wrath. For it is written: "Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord."
Vindication
Psalms 37:6 He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.
Victory
1 John 5:4 - For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
The circle of victory reminds me of Abraham for "He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. Romans 4:20-21
The word “stagger” in Romans 4:20 is derived from the Greek word diakrino, which means to waver. It pictures one who is doubtful, constantly changing his mind about what he believes, wobbling in his faith, and vacillating back and forth. In other words, this person is unstable in what he believes.
Those who do not stagger are single-minded about what God has told them. They stand in a solid, convinced position, and they hold tightly to what God has told them. Heart, soul, and mouth — all are in agreement with that which God has promised. Although they may have imperfections that seem glaring to them personally, this one quality of being single-minded and unwavering is enough to bring the manifestation of what God has promised them, regardless of their other flaws.
Abraham took such a position of faith. He was single-minded about what God had promised, and he did not move, budge, or waver. The vision he saw went directly into his heart, and he did not vacillate on believing God would fulfill His promise. That confident foundation of faith carried Abraham through many years of waiting — and because of this non-negotiable stance, he and Sarah received the son God had promised
What a beautiful example of how to walk by faith and not sight. And about those two V's in the circle of victory that formed a W, not only does in remind me of Wonder Woman it is a beautiful reminder that...
